A Kick-Ass Soundtrack

We’re thrilled to collaborate with John Cep of The Stargazer Lilies - a renowned husband-and-wife shoegaze and dream-pop duo whose music brings emotional depth, sonic richness, and cinematic atmosphere perfectly in tune with Employee of the Year.

John Cep and Kim Field, the Stargazer Lilies, emerged from their prior work in the band Soundpool and have since become leaders in the modern shoegaze-dreampop resurgence. Their discography includes celebrated albums like We Are The Dreamers (2013), Door to the Sun (2016) and Cosmic Tidal Wave (2022).

Critics describe them as delivering a “reverb-washed slo-mo assault of Slowdive with the sparkling ambience of Air… a lush psych-fuzz epic”  With expansive textures, swelling guitars, and ethereal vocals, their music is “widescreen, cinematic… building cascading waves of sound that envelop your whole body”.
