I'm Yuri Duncan and I wrote, directed and edited the film. These updates will provide you with some background on the film, the animation process, behind the scenes exclusives, and progress reports on our efforts towards completion.

Where we stand as of today:

• The film has been shot and editing is complete.

• The rotoscoping process of animation is underway.

• The soundtrack is also in progress.

• Kickstarter campaign is almost ready to go!

Employee of the Year is a 30-minute animated sci-fi dark comedy about an ordinary man sent into orbit as part of a billionaire’s publicity stunt—only for the rocket to disintegrate in high orbit.

Miraculously surviving, he drifts above Earth with only minutes to live, guided by a voice from Mission Control. What follows is a quiet, haunting meditation on mortality, beauty, and what it means to face the end with perspective.

Written and directed by Yuri Duncan, with cinematography by Bud Osborne, the film combines live-action footage with over 30,000 individually rotoscoped frames for a bold and emotional visual experience.
